Sit yourself down, strap yourself in and go take a look at your new SUPER CHARGED websites!

Over the past couple of weeks we've been quietly rolling out some web server changes behind the scenes that will have dramatically decreased the load times of your websites.

What's more, unlike other companies who charge you extra for this service, we've included it free of charge on every VPS and Dedicated hosting plan.

For the geeks among us, here's what we've done:

1. We've moved over to the OpenLiteSpeed PHP handler, meaning PHP requests are now processed much quicker than before.

2. We've upgraded the Linux web server to include the OPcache module, which again, improves PHP performance.

3. We've implemented OpenLightSpeed Cache engine to cache content. This means that a lot of your content will now be served directly from the cache, rather than being passed to PHP to process each time a visitor accesses your website. This means quicker load times for your website and less strain on the server as it isn't needing to handle as many PHP requests.

4. Our every servers comes with Memcached and Redis that gives extra boost to your websites.

Our real world tests have shown a speed increase on EVERY website we've tested, with some websites showing as much as a 66% decrease in page load times.

Quicker page load times mean higher visitor retention and potentially better search engine rankings, as some SEO experts indicate that Google favours sites that load quicker.

If for any reason you find that our new Caching system isn't working for you, then don't worry, you can reset it for your website simply by logging into control panel i.e. Cyberpanel and clicking on the Lightspeed Status under Server Status option.

N:B: Server status option is only available for Dedicated Hosting users. VPS hosting users can contact via support ticket.
